Brit-designed single-seat racer Price - Prices start at £79,950. The Mono was designed by Cheshire-born bros Neill and Ian Briggs in an attempt to dispense formula levels of performance for 'enthusiasts'.
It gets a 280bhp 2.3-litre Cossie four-pot mounted longitudinally, a six-speed paddle shift 'box (50 millisecond shifts), a limited slip diff and pushrod suspension featuring adjustable dampers. Brakes come courtesy of AP Racing, wheels are OZ Racing and there's even a detachable steering wheel. Which should make fun post-commute conversations.
The stats are thus: 0-62mph takes 2.8 seconds, 0-100mph takes 6.7 seconds, top speed is 170mph and power-to-weight sits at 520bhp per tonne.
If you think, 'yeah, another track car', both have worked for Porsche, Merc and Ford. So there. And despite its F3 car dimensions and single-seat layout, Bac assures us it is actually usable for the road.
